About Sam...
Having spent most of my working life as florist with a highly respected company in Devon, I decided to pursue my creative ambition as a jeweller. This part of my journey began when I completed a 10-week silver jewellery night school with a local jeweller. I felt so inspired by what I had learned that I invested many months & years practising my art, perfecting my skills through making mistakes and taking an experimental approach in learning my craft. I find the process of making jewellery absorbing and I work in a creative, free flowing manner – often producing 20-30 pieces without the bounds of a specific plan.
One of my passions is foraging on the beautiful local beaches in Devon and Cornwall for natural sea glass, which I often utilise in my designs. I love being by the sea as this presents the perfect excuse to escape and find inspiration. I have a quaint workshop in Devon where I produce bespoke, commissioned and traditional pieces of jewellery. However, you can be sure that no two pieces of jewellery will be alike. I currently sell my pieces at local artisan markets around Devon and Cornwall, I love the atmosphere of selling directly, talking about my jewellery and the social element of meeting my industry friends and customers at these events.
I am always excited to produce bespoke pieces, as I love creating something completely new and special that is one of a kind. I feel privileged and grateful that my career has taken this path as I am able to exercise my creative inner spirit and meet lots of wonderful people along the way.
